Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has been started by Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture achievements and contributions made by all.
This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of making India Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
The journey of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav started on 12th March 2021 which started a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence and will end post a year on 15th August 2023.
To contribute in the Nobel cause of celebrating “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” and show our gratitude to our known and unsung heroes School of Humanities & Social Sciences of FIMT Kapashera was entrusted with the task to host the event on behalf of the college. The Department is headed by Asst Professor Shikha Dutt Sharma. She is a very hardworking and dedicated faculty of FIMT Kapashera who has always planned all future activity well in time and believes in completion of assigned task within time. She has sound knowledge of her trade which is very much visible in her professional activity. She is a good team leader and never shies from taking on extra responsibility because of which she has been instrumental in starting of NCC in FIMT Kapashera and since the inception she is heading the same.
Patriotic songs have always played an important role in boosting our morale and fostering a spirit of love towards the nation. This, is a tradition that has been our strength whenever we have been called upon to come together for the national cause. During the time of freedom struggle people were united together as one by patriotic songs and poems written in different dialects which worked as real punch behind the power and inspired people which eventually led to freedom. Taking note of the contribution of songs and poems in freedom fighting a Poetry Writing and Recital competition was organized for students of all courses/semesters of FIMT under the umbrella of Literary Society,’’ The Prosperos’’ on the theme of “Patriotism” to commemorate,’ Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ at the college campus. The aim of the program was to generate awareness into the students regarding the importance of free country and sacrifices made by our ancestors for the same.
Whenever the stage has been set for patriotism /Nationalism their has never been dearth of talents. The announcement of such competition in FIMT Kapashera flooded the concerned Department with entries. The competition inspired the young poets to come forward and recite on stage. The participants were given 30 minutes to write the poem and had to recite their written piece in 5 minutes. The students came up with patriotic poems on different subjects which covered the period from freedom struggle time till date covering varied aspects. They recited them with great confidence, fondness and zeal. Independent qualified jury were invited to judge the hidden talents and to encourage the students for their sincere effort put in .
